Creating Kitschen has been such an exciting journey. It all started with brainstorming key words and building a mood board packed with quirky home décor, retro food styling, old-school dishes, and vintage ads. I spent hours sifting through 70s and 80s dinner party images and playing around with food pairings.
At one point, I got stuck—nothing seemed to click, and I had to take a step back. But once I regrouped and got my research in front of me, everything started to flow. I began sketching freely, and that’s when the designs really started to take shape. The collection features fruit motifs, retro dishes, lots of stripes, and nostalgic takes on the classic ice cream and cocktail sticks. Each tea towel tells its own story, blending kitsch-inspired elements with a fresh, modern twist.
